1) They provide jobs for workers with limited skills who are just entering the job market. 2) They provide food which pleases customers and is consistent in quality. 3) They boost local economies by contributing taxes to cities and states. 4) They provide simple meal solutions for working parents, and are a better alternative to taking the family to a "sit down" restaurant. 5) They provide an alternative to "sit down" restaurants for working people with a limited lunch hour. Naturally, the opposition will also be aware of these arguments, so you will need to prepare for what they are going to say and how you can defend against it.
