Dear Journalists
Today,
historically oppressed and barely exploited people constituting labour,
peasants, students, women and religious minorities and others of Sindh and also
of Balouchistan, Pakhtoon Khowa and Punjab are
not only facing autocracy and nepotism but also bearing brunt of hunger,
unemployment, corruption, terrorism, tyranny, gender-biased discrimination,
inflation and lawlessness. In this state of disorder, Awami Tehreek with the
aim to strength the peoples democratic struggle for genuine people’s democracy, national autonomy, fair water
distribution, rule of law, education, NFC
award, and a new political and social
contract, bravely started on wide range basis an untiring Peaceful Struggle and history making :
QOMI AWAMI LONG MARACH.
Long March Main Route:
Kandhkot, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Khairpur, Noshehro Feroz, Moro, Sakrand, Hala, Bhitshah,
Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Sujawal, Thatta, Gharo, Ghaghar Phatak,
Mazar-e-Quaid and Saddar, Karachi.
Started on Thursday 8th October From Kandhkot
To Karachi
upto Sunday 22 November 2009

The long March will enter in Ghaghar Phatak on 18th November 2009 at 11 am.
